The former Brazil international, who lifted the World Cup in 2002, recently completed his 12-month contract with the African club, but Angolan Football Federation vice-president Joao Lusevikueno said he will not be staying on.
"His contract was for one year and it ended," Lusevikueno said.
However, it is still unclear whether Rivaldo, who is 40, will consider finally retiring from football.
The former Barcelona forward added on Twitter: "My farewell day here in Angola, but only for football, because Angola will always be my home."
