Speaking after naming his 24-man squad on Monday for the Nelson Mandela Challenge against Zambia at FNB Stadium next week, Igesund says he is happy with the way Bafana have performed under him so far in their four games, which have brought two wins and two defeats.
He said: "We're going to be more balanced. We've played four games and I've really had a good look at a pool of players. I've probably got about 75 to 80 percent of the team.
"We've played four really good games in my time with the team and I'm positive about the future."
But going forward, Igesund admits that without the most talented squad at his disposal, unity and togetherness are what's going to be required in order for the team to achieve.
"What wins things from my experience is having a team that respects each other, love and fight for each other," he said.
"It's not always the best team that wins, but the team that really wants it the most.
"We need to work hard and that's very important. We've got no superstars in our team but nothing is impossible."
