The Students, losing finalists last season, booked their spot in the last-eight courtesy of a 3-2 win at home to PSL front-runners Kaizer Chiefs.

Antonio Lopez Habas' men most recently managed a hard-fought 1-1 draw at SuperSport United in the PSL last time out, which left the Clever Boys in seventh place on the table.

Meanwhile, Ea Lla Koto's strong start to the 2012/13 campaign suffered a major knock last weekend with a 4-0 thrashing at Platinum Stars.

The heavy defeat saw Steve Komphela's side drop to 10th in the league standings, although they got their Ziwa Mo campaign off to a flying start as they saw off Golden Arrows 3-1.

Stars skipper Kennedy Mweene reckons the trip to Braampark will be a stern test to his team's silverware aspirations, especially after the loss to Dikwena.

"Wits have been doing well lately and they have made some good acquisitions this season so it's going to one hell of a game," he told his club's official website.

"We respect and acknowledge their strength but we will show no respect on the field of play as we want to salvage our pride after last week 4- 0 drubbing to Platinum Stars in the league match.

"We have put the last week match behind our backs and it's been years since we won any silverware so it's now or never."

In team news, defender Soriola Gege misses out for Stars having been sidelined for two weeks with a twisted ankle, Phumlani Mhamha set to deputise for the injured Nigerian.

Wits, on other hand, have reported no major injury concerns although they'll have to do without the services of Tinashe Nengomasha due to suspension.
