Bafana Bafana most recently went down 1-0 to Poland on Friday evening, a result which followed on from their 2-0 success over Mozambique and previous 1-0 reverse against Brazil in Sao Paulo.

Despite two defeats in three for Gordon Igesund since taking over the national team reins, the former Moroka Swallows boss has largely been testing different squad members and formations ahead of next year's continental showpiece, which will be hosted in South Africa.

The likes of Ricardo Nunes and Dean Furman have been given their chances to impress, the former having made his debut against the Poles while the latter made his international bow against the Samba Boys at the beginning of September.

The pair could again be handed starting roles as Igesund revealed to journalists upon their arrival in Kenya on Saturday that he could be tempted to field a largely inexperienced XI as he looks to run the rule over his entire 26-man squad.

"I have to look at everyone," he said. "There are many players who are not here who also deserve a look in - like Terror Fanteni, Lance Davids, Bradley Grobler and Daylon Claasen.

"We should look at giving them a chance and see if they can stake a claim. Not a lot of time is left before the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off."

First-choice goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune could be given off as well following the passing of his sister on Friday, meaning Wayne Sandilands is set to come in between the sticks.

In the Kenya camp, Henri Michel, a former Mamelodi Sundowns coach in 2008, is likely to start with Auxerre striker Dennis Oliech up front, but Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Mariga is out with an injury.
