Having been sidelined since the Birds' MTN8 triumph last month, the 34-year-old is pencilled in to make an appearance at training for the Soweto outfit on Monday.
'Bhele', as he's affectionately known by his team-mates, suffered ligament damage in Swallows' 3-0 victory over Orlando Pirates on September 1.
The veteran's injury cost him a spot in the Bafana Bafana squad for their friendlies against Brazil and Mozambique.
Swallows doctor Ephraim Nematswerani reckons Nomvethe looks likely to be up and running within the next couple days - just in time for next weekend's Telkom Knockout Last-16 clash at Maritzburg United.
"Bhele has been responding to treatment, we had decided to rest him for two weeks to allow the injury to heal without any pressure," Nematswerani has told the media
"He is doing very well. We (the medical team) will assess him on Friday, where we expect to give him the green light to start training. Besides Bhele, all the other players are in good health."
Meanwhile, Birds winger Joseph Makhanya is once again fit and available after almost a month's absence due to knee injury.
