------------------------------------------------------------

Burkina Faso

Daouda Diakite: Was beaten from the spot early on, but couldn't be beaten from then on. Made the vital save in the penalty shoot-out. 7/10

Saidou Panandetiguiri: Solid and reliable at the back, but has his hands full with Christian Atsu. 6/10

Bakary Kone: Struggled to contain Atsu, and gave away few silly free-kicks, but scored from the spot in the shoot-out. 6/10

Paul Keba Koulibaly: Had his work cut out for me dealing with the Ghanaians' attack, and had one or two run-ins with Asamoah Gyan. 6/10

Mohamed Koffi: Worked tirelessly at the back before his late substitution due to injury. 7/10

Florent Rouamba: Was a good link-man between the midfield and the front three. Provided the telling ball for Aristide Bance's equaliser. 7/10

Charles Kabore: Held his own in the middle of the park without doing anything spectacular. 6/10

Jonathan Pitroipa: Made his presence felt up front for the Stallions, linking up well with Bance and Prejuce Nakoulma. Disappointment late on, though, after he was shown a second yellow card and miss the final. 7/10

Prejuce Nakoulma: A real threat in the final third for Burkina Faso, working well in tandem with Banc, as well as unleashing several shots on goal. 7/10

Aristide Bance: Had numerous chances on goal, wide and on target, but scored the vital equaliser, as well as a penalty in the shoot-out, to cap off a sterling day's work at the office.

Djakaridja Kone: Ran hard from the opening whistle and proved a nuisance when in possession. 6/10

Substitutes:

Henri Traore: Was a late substitution for Koffi, and looked to get stuck-in as much as he could. Scored from the penalty spot in the shoot-out. 6/10

Ghana

:

Fatau Dauda: Unlucky to be on the losing side after another impressive performance between the sticks. Arguably the tournament's best goalkeeper. 7/10

John Pantsil: His sixth AFCON appearance came to a sad end after he was stretchered off the field in the 10th minute with a hamstring injury.

Isaac Vorsah: Was surprisingly less self-assured at the back than before, and had a tough time containing Bance in particular. Also missed from the spot in the penalty shoot-out with an awful kick. 5/10

John Boye: Had his hands full dealing with Burkina Faso's determined front-line on the penalty box. 5/10

Harrison Afful: Was his usual industrious self, getting forward on attack and making the odd shot on goal, as well as providing good ball into the area. 7/10

Christian Atsu: One of the finds of the tournament, he never seemed to run out of gas and, more importantly, never gave up in attack. 8/10

Mohammed Rabiu: Battled to assert his authority on the match, and was duly substituted in the second half after taking a blow to the head. 5/10

Kwadwo Asamoah: Done the hard yards up front in support of Gyan and Atsu, but goalscoring chances again never fell his way on the day. 6/10

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu: Had a shot on goal in the first half after he made a run from deep, but was less effectual as the match wore on. 6/10

Mubarak Wakaso: Scored from the penalty spot yet again to give the Black Stars the lead, but less of an influence from general play. 6/10

Asamoah Gyan: Worked hard to lead the attack, and his side, but ultimately his best wasn't good enough. Struck the woodwork in the second stanza which, had he scored, would've killed off Burkina Faso. 6/10

Substitutes:

Solomon Asante: Got involved early on after his introduction for Paintsil, and looked to get forward as much as possible. Should've done better with his chance on goal from close-range. 6/10

Derek Boateng: Tried his utmost to make an impression on the final outcome, but was largely a liability as he gave away one too many free-kicks. 5/10

Emmanuel Clottey: Extra-time substitution, but will be remembered as one of the worst penalty takers in the tournament after his woeful effort in the shoot-out. 4/10
