Bafana Bafana midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala says the team gave their all against Cape Verde Islands, but the Africa Cup of Nations debutants were up for the fight against the home side.

Tshabalala, the most experienced player in the Bafana team with 74 caps to his name, credited the Blue Sharks for their resilience.
"Let's face it, we were playing against a very good team," he told Football411. "So credit must go to Cape Verde and in my opinion, they are a very good side.
"We didn't undermine them in any way, because for the mere fact that they are in the AFCON means they are a pretty decent side. So we were expecting a tough battle," he said.
For the record, Cape Verde are ranked 70th in Fifa world rankings to Bafana's 85th.
The 28-year-old conceded that the big letdown for Bafana was their inability to create chances.
"I think, overall, we didn't create many chances and the midfielders couldn't find the strikers.
"I'm not going to dwell much on this issue, but I will say that we must work on creating chances, that's an area of concern for me personally," he acknowledged.
"We can do better. So we really have to work on this, because I think the next match against Angola will be more difficult than the one against Cape Verde. We must make sure we do well in the next game," Tshabalala added.
