The coach's comments follow on from the Dube Birds' thrilling come-from-behind win against defending PSL champions Orlando Pirates, who they beat 3-2 at the Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday.
And ahead of their next clash with relegation candidates AmaZulu this weekend, Marques believes his players are now more confident and ready to add to the five wins they have thus far while another victory will put them in the top eight of the table.
"I keep saying to the players that you have to think big if you want to win big. We can beat any of the top teams on our day and we showed that Wednesday night," he told SuperSport.
"The season is not just about beating Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. Of course it's good to win against Pirates but I'd happily lose to those two rivals if we won all our other games."
The Dube Birds are just five points above Usuthu and need the points just as much as the Durban club. They clash at the Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday night.
Marques added: "I'm more worried about now how we play against AmaZulu on Saturday. The win over Pirates we must out behind us and we have to stay humble.
"But obviously from a psychological point of view, beating Pirates was a huge result for us. There will be a sense of belief now that we can go on."
