The full back is currently sidelined with a toe injury he picked up in September, after previously missing three months due to an ankle strain.

Glamour Boys general manager Bobby Motaung has now stated the two parties will wait until the defender has recovered before continuing the negotiations.

"After consultation with Jimmy's business manager Jazzman Mahlakgane, we have decided to put everything on hold to allow the recovery without him having to worry about all sorts of things," Motaung said.

"We will sit down with him once the injury has healed to start negotiations for a new contract.

"He has been with our medical team to get him back in shape so that he can continue. The technical staff are also monitoring the progress and everything is okay."

Motaung also confirmed the club are in similar talks with team-mates Bernard Parker and Reneilwe Letsholonyane, adding: "Everything is going well with Parker and Letsholonyane, we hope to reach an agreement very soon."
