Swallows are 12th on the PSL table with 19 points, 21 less than Pirates who are challenging for a third consecutive league title.

The hosts, though, need the points more than their traditional rivals, the Dube Birds are just three points above bottom of the table side Chippa United and need a win to lift them from the relegation contenders.

The Sea Robbers, on the other hand, are doing better in the league, but after Saturday's shock Nedbank Cup 4-1 defeat to a third division side Maluti FET College, the defending champions are vulnerable.

Bucs coach Roger de Sa admitted that fatigue is part of their problem, but with a squad that has depth in every position, the Ghosts will not accept any excuses, especially against the lesser-fancied Swallows.

"It will be a different game altogether. Swallows are a strong team and they will be playing at home, so I think we will have to strengthen our side if we are to get a result against them," De Sa told the club's website.

"It will be a tough match but I think we will be ready in time to put up a good show and win the match."

Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali returns for selection after missing the loss to Maluti due to suspension, while playmaker Thandani Ntshumayelo is nursing an eye injury. Meanwhile, Swallows have not reported any injuries or suspensions.
