De Sa: Not exactly impressed

Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa had little to say of his side's performance as they were dumped out of the Nedbank Cup following the shock 4-1 defeat to Maluti FET College on Saturday.

The Buccaneers saw another title pass them by this term as braces from Lucky Mokoena (1, 56) and Mashale Rantabane (25, 81) rendered Oupa Manyisa's 59th minute goal inconsequential in their last-32 tie at the Charles Mopeli Stadium.

Speaking after the tie, De Sa felt that even after being two goals down in the opening quarter it was not a train smash, but believes Bucs' recent travels in the CAF Champions League affected the side's work rate.

"When we were 2-0 down, I felt we still had a chance, but we didn't respond well," he said. "We were poor."

When asked what he believed went wrong for the Sea Robbers, the coach said: "Fatigue and complacency, without a doubt. We gave away stupid goals."
