Brent Carelse opened the scoring for the Chilli Boys in the ninth minute at Bidvest Stadium, but Matthew Pattison (39) and Ryan Chapman (55) ensured the Clever Boys secured all three points on the night.

The defeat saw Chippa drop to the bottom of the PSL standings, while Wits moved into seventh place.

And after the match, Mugeyi insisted he feels content in his new role, despite recording two defeats and one win in his three matches in charge of the PSL newbies.

He said: "I don't feel any pressure. I am happy that even when we are losing games we still play very well.

"Like today, we lost fighting and that is what's important for me."

Mugeyi added: "I am happy with my squad, all the departments. I can't complain."
