After a torrid start to the season, Sundowns have been much improved following the arrival of Pitso Mosimane at the start of December, winning three and drawing three, and moving into eighth position on the league table.

Since the start of the second half of the PSL season, Downs have held league leader Kaizer Chiefs to a goalless draw, and went on to defeat Maritzburg United 3-0 over the weekend, however, Nyandoro believes there is still work to be done to completely turn around their season.

"We still have a long way to go. There's room for improvement," Nyandoro told Backpage.

"Our desire to get out of where we were and the new coach is what has pushed us. Obviously we had to fight to be out.

"The coach came and restored the confidence of players and they are responding well. As you know confidence comes with winning."

Mosimane's men now prepare to face Golden Arrows on Tuesday night, and Nyandoro admits it will be a tough challenge to overcome the Lamontville club, who are also fighting for an improved league position.

"It's a tough game. Arrows will be coming to fight for three points," the 33-year old added. "It's a must win for us.

"We respect Arrows. They are a good side and they have players that play with flair.

"We have to focus on ourselves. The challenge is to keep up the hard work."
