Tshilo joined the Clever Boys during the mid-season break after Mamelodi Sundowns gave him a free clearance, and it was his intention to join the Milpark outfit.
The 29-year-old centre-back will compete with Thomas Sweswe, Siboniso Gumede and Mokoena for a starting place in defence, and he admires the latter - who is also a former Cosmos player - the most.
"Actually it is an honour for me to play alongside someone like Aaron with the kind of experience he has," said Tshilo. "He is been a mainstay in South African football for the last decade.
"I joined as a free agent and this is a club that I admire so it was easy for me to come here and join the boys."
Tshilo admitted he is not yet match fit but that he is confident of contributing to the Students soon.
He added: "In terms of fitness I am not at a stage where I would love to be, but I am getting there. I am about 70 to 80 percent match fit at the moment, but when the league re-starts I'll be more than ready to play.
"What is important so far is that I am enjoying every second at the club. It's good for my confidence because once you have the love for the game everything works out just fine."
