Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni has joined Mamelodi Sundowns just days before the start of the second half of the Premier Soccer League season.

With both Calvin Marlin and Denis Onyango injured for the foreseeable future, Ngobeni will be on the bench for the first match following the mid-season break.
Wayne Sandilands is the Downs' undisputed number one, however, Ngobeni will be good cover for the former Platinum Stars goalkeeper.
The 24-year old put pen to paper on a short-term contract, which will keep him at Chloorkop until the end of this season, however, he will an option to extend his stay.
Bafana Bafana team doctor Dr. Carl Kgabo Tabane and physical trainer Zac Van Heerden have also joined the Brazilians.
