New Bidvest Wits coach Clive Barker says his appointment at the Johannesburg club was fuelled by his longing to return to football.

Barker last coached on a full-time basis at AmaZulu back in the 2008/09 Premiership season, where he guided Usuthu to an eighth place finish.
The former Bafana Bafana mentor returned to the PSL scene with the Students last month and inherited a side languishing ninth in the standings.
However, the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations-winning tactician is relishing the chance to once again test himself on South Africa's biggest stage.
"I really wanted to coach again. I missed coaching a lot. It will probably be my last hurrah but I am really excited to be coaching again," he told Football411.
Barker revealed he was courted by Wits management towards the end of last year. He has since signed of a short-term deal until the end of the season, with the option to renew.
"Management met with me on two occasions during the Christmas period in Durban," Barker explained.
"They offered a six month deal at the club and possibly more if things go according to plan."
The 68-year-old says he is settling in well at the club, adding: "It's a fabulous club with great facilities.
"There's a lot of quality in the squad and a solid captain in Aaron Mokoena. So things are going well so far."
With just under two weeks to go before the close of the January transfer window, Barker reckons he does not have any major plans to bolster his squad.
He added: "I have had a look at the squad and I believe we have enough to be higher on the table than we are at the moment."
"If I do bring in someone it would have to be a big name, someone with International status."
