The 28-year-old's struggle with alcohol addiction flared up during his time with Usuthu, resulting in the club breaking their ties with the midfielder in November, just a few months after signing the Liberia international.

Johnson will now be hoping to put that all behind him as he looks to return to his glory days, having previously played for Swedish champions AIK Stockholm.

However, the playmaker will have to undergo a medical and seek treatment for his addiction before he signs with his new club.

"Previously I have lied to myself that I didn't have a problem," Johnson told reporters in Sweden. "It has caused problems in the other clubs I have played in but now I've decided to get the help I need."

Meanwhile, IK Brage chairman Tommy Andersson said: "Dulee himself has realised he has a problem but he has been able to deliver on the pitch.

"We have signed a contract between IK Brage, Nudax Rehab and Dulee; a three-sided deal for treatment over two years."
