Speaking to Football411.com, assistant coach Anees Basadien revealed: "We have signed Shane (Poggenpoel) and are excited and confident that his experience and technical ability will bring stability and depth to the team."

The 28-year-old has played for Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United, and possesses a wealth of experience, which will surely add value to an already impressive youthful outfit.

Basadien added: "We have also acquired the services of striker Ganief Stellenboom from the African Soccer Development Academy (ASD).

"Stellenboom will be joining ex team-mate Devon Saal, who has already impressed with a goal against African Wanderers.

"This proves our commitment to developing players from our community and granting them the opportunity to unveil their potential."

Newcomers to the NFD, Milano are currently third in the standings and have impressed with their thrilling counter attacks and slick passing game.

Indeed it is a befitting tribute to the old Cape Town Spurs who warmed the hearts of many, with their crafty skill and deft one-touch football back in the 1970's.

The skillful combination play of Siyabulela Khali and Lesvin Stoffels have entertained the crowds at their Grassy Park home venue, leaving many defenders chasing shadows to the amusement of the partisan home crowd.

Keenan Lesch and Shamiel Philander, architects-in-chief, have tirelessly regained possession, dictated play, and have fed their offensive players with delightful and creative through balls from their position in the centre of the park.

Milano's next home fixture will be in the Nedbank Cup against Thando Royal Zulu on 13 February 2013.
