The Chilli Boys previously had the Brazilians to keep them company at the bottom of the PSL standings, but the appointment of Pitso Mosimane at the Downs helm has seen them claw their way out of the relegation zone.

Two wins and a draw from the three PSL matches the former Bafana Bafana coach has been in charge of has hoisted the Chloorkop outfit to 10th in the table, five points clear of the drop zone with just one more match remaining in 2012.

Farouk Abrahams' side, though, have failed to win any of their last four games, with the PSL newbies currently occupying the drop zone, above basement club AmaZulu on goal-difference following the two sides' 1-1 draw at the weekend.

Chippa have also only managed two victories this season, although their last success came against high flyers Platinum Stars towards the end of November.

Victory for the Capetonians could, however, take them as high as 13th going into the New Year, depending on the other results involving the teams at the bottom this week.

The hosts have no suspension concerns to deal with, although Brent Carelse is one yellow away from a one-match ban.

A raft of Sundowns players, though, are facing the same fate, with Hlompho Kekana, Alje Schut, Nyasha Mushekwi, Doctor Mampuru, Abel Mabaso and Tebogo Langerman all on three bookings.
