The Students have dropped steadily down the PSL table in recent weeks, with their last victory coming against Moroka Swallows at the beginning of November.

That run of results have left Antonio Lopez Habas' men eighth in the standings, but only six points above the relegation zone with half the season already having been played.

This week's tie will mark the third time these two teams have met this term, with Ea Lla Koto having taken all three points on the opening day of the campaign, while also getting the better of the Clever Boys on penalties in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals.

Stars are also on the up at the moment, with the 2-1 victory over Black Leopards at the weekend taking Steve Komphela's side to fourth in the standings.

They are, however, seven points behind joint-second Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars, while they sit a further one adrift of leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Komphela has no suspension concerns to deal with, although Daniel Cardoso and Lehlohonolo Thebakang are both just one booking away each from picking up one-match bans.

Wits, meanwhile, welcome Papy Faty back from suspension, but Sibusiso Vilakazi and Siboniso Gumede will have to tread carefully if selected as both are on three yellow cards and one away from automatic bans.
