While Bucs emerged from a difficult encounter at high-flying Maritzburg United 2-1 in their last clash, Amakhosi where held to a 1-1 draw by University of Pretoria - closing the gap at the top of the standings to just one point.

With Pirates coach Roger de Sa insisting his side produced their "worst performance" of the season against the Team of Choice, he will be expecting a far better showing in midweek.

De Sa told Football411: "It wasn't a very good performance (against Maritzburg) let's be honest and it's probably my worst performance at Pirates but we managed to scratch a win.

"There is a lot of work to be done, hopefully we can improve in our next match."

Arrows boss Manqoba Mngqithi is, meanwhile, conscious of an anxiety amongst his players as he bids to get their season back on track.

Mngqithi, who was at the helm between 2007 and 2010, returned to a less-than-stable side following the departure of Mushin Ertugal, but has managed to preside over two wins in his seven games back at the club.

They did manage to see off a struggling Ajax Cape Town 2-0 in their last clash and Mngqithi will be hoping they can carry that form going forward.

He told the PSL: "It was another good performance at home (against Ajax), another good one from us. I think all the matches at home we've played well since I've arrived.

"We were just unfortunate in a few of the games not to have gotten the result."

He added: "I think we were scrappy, we never really dominated the game, although we deserved to win.

"I think the position we're in (on the log) creates added anxiety for the players, which lead to more errors being compared."
