The Brazilians appear a side rejuvenated in recent weeks, and in the three league games during which Mosimane has been in charge, they have won two and drawn one.

The former Bafana Bafana manager believes his team are on the right track.

"Today I think more than 12 passes [before Katlego Mphela made it 2-0], so my philosophy is coming in slowly, the players are responding well," Mosimane said after the game.

But Mosimane believes his side should have been more ruthless against the Students.

"You know South African players don't know how to kill a team, they massage a team, they feel sorry for a team, you must kill five [goals].

"We played against a very good team, they pressed us at the beginning, but our movement is happening, they understand my movement. Hopefully we can finish more chances," he said.

Sundowns' next match is away to Chippa United down in Cape Town and Mosimane is hopeful that midfielders Teko Modise and Thami Sangweni will both be back from injuries for the match.
