Sundowns v Black Leopards

Mosimane: Can he hack it?

Mosimane: Can he hack it?

New Sundowns boss Pitso Mosimane will be eager to secure all three points from his side's PSL clash with Black Leopards at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

Mosimane came agonisingly close to a win in his first game of charge of the Brazilians away to Free State Stars where a Tebogo Langerman own goal on 73 minutes cancelled out Eleazar Rodgers' first Premier Soccer League goal of the season.

The result left Mosimane's charges just one point ahead of bottom-placed AmaZulu following their 1-1 draw with Lidoda Duvha.

Black Leopards, under the stewardship of Ian Palmer following the sacking of coach Sunday Chidzambwa in October, currently occupy ninth place, some five points better off than Sundowns with 16 points.

They are a far more resilient side than the one that secured their PSL status by the skin of their teeth last season and will provide a stern test for a Brazilians side with just two wins all season.

The two teams have met in 16 league matches since 2001/02 with Sundowns claiming nine wins to Lidoda Duvha's five, while there have been just two draws.
