Abrahams, the Chilli Boys' third coach of their debut PSL season, has managed two draws, one win and one defeat since taking charge in October.

Alexander, on loan at the Philippi-based outfit from Ajax Cape Town, believes Abrahams taking the reins at United has been influential.

"The new coach implemented a lot in turning things around and it working for us," he told Football411.

"We are playing without the fear of losing and this is taking a lot of pressure off the guys, I think that is one of the things working for us."

"I don't know what the other coaches missed but I think they are all good coaches.

"Haven't played under (Manqoba) Mngqithi, but from what I heard he is also a good coach. So maybe he was just unfortunate."

Meanwhile, Soweto giants Orlando Pirates make their way to Athlone Stadium on Wednesday evening for a crucial league clash.

Alexander reckons the midweek encounter presents the perfect opportunity for Chippa to make a statement with a victory.

"Everyone is excited, we are coming up against the champions and having lost in the derby it will be an important game for us to try and win," he added.

"Think we should play our normal game and not put too much pressure on ourselves. But also knowing there's a lot at stake.

"Three points are a bragging right."

Chippa are 14th on the Premier Soccer League table with ten points from 12 matches.
