The Brazilians went down 1-0 to Bloemfontein Celtic in the Ziwa Mo final on Saturday, although Joel Mogorosi's headed goal should never have counted as the ball had not crossed the line before being cleared.

Nevertheless the referee awarded Phunya Sele Sele the goal, compounding Sundowns's already woeful campaign.

Speaking after the Moses Mabhida Stadium encounter, Neeskens said: "I think in the first half we played a very good game, a passing game.

"We had some chances, they did too, but the moment they scored in the second-half...

"The goal came out of nowhere, and I would like to see the replays, but what happened, happened.

"It was a very exciting game, but we need to pick ourselves up now."

When asked whether he was disappointed, he replied: "What do you think? I think everyone should be disappointed and upset, myself, the club, the team and the players."
