Joel Mogorosi's second-half header proved the difference at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, with Phunya Sele Sele picking up their first piece of silverware since 2005.

Speaking after the game, a clearly overjoyed Larsen said: "What an emotional ride. In the dying minutes we just wanted to keep (the players) concentrated, because anything could happen. But they remained focus and I'm so proud."

Siwelele had to come through bitter rivals Free State Stars and defending champions Orlando Pirates on their way to the title, and Larsen feels they are worthy winners.

"It feels like justice after the route we've come through, and I think we deserved it," he said.

"We didn't play our best football in the first-half, but I knew we were going to win it.

"We have the best supporters in the country, and we won this for them.

"It's quite an emotional moment and I can't say much more than that."
