Downs and Celtic will go one-on-one at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday for the honour of lifting the Telkom Knockout trophy for this season.

The PSL duo have met in nine previous cup matches, and the Brazilians have traditionally come out on top with seven wins compared to two for Siwelele.

Johan Neeskens' side also got the better of Phunya Sele Sele on Sunday in a 1-0 victory at Botshabelo Stadium.

Sandiland, though, believes this weekend's contest for the Ziwa Mo crown represents an entirely new challenge for both teams.

"We can take confidence in the positives from past matches, but when you are playing in a cup final, stats and history count for very little," he told Downs' official website.

"The team that goes out there and play their hearts out, are the ones who stand a good chance of lifting the trophy in Durban.

"We might have beaten them in the league match in Bloemfontein, but we all saw that they rested some of their key players for the final.

"We cannot judge them based on that performance, and can therefore expect a different Celtic side."
