Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Matlaba was delighted with his personal showing against Bidvest Wits after he scooped the Man-of-the-Match award on Saturday.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring at the Orlando Stadium with a stunning long-range drive before setting up Tlou Segolela for the second as the Buccaneers climbed to within one point of leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
Speaking after the game a clearly pleased Matlaba told the club's official website: "I'm happy with my performance tonight. Wits gave us a good game and they were tough to break down due to the strategy they deployed.
"They had five defenders and this made it difficult for us to play our usual passing game."
Looking back on his 30-yard wonder strike which left Students goalkeeper Ryan Harrison absolutely no chance, Matlaba added: "The goal was great but it's nothing new for me because I often try these (long range) shots at training.
"As I was approaching (the goal), there was space in front of me and so I took my chance."
