The draw was Matsatsantsa's 10th in 12 league games and leaves them in 11th position with 13 points, while Abafana Bes'thende are in 13th place with 10 points.

United had early chances as Mabhuti Khenyeza shot over the bar in the 12th minute, while Jabulani Maluleke shot straight at Pavels Steinbors eight minutes later.

The coastal outfit scored first through Sibusiso Hadebe's 22nd-minute goal, the former AmaZulu winger heading home after a mistake from Thabo September.

SuperSport, however, levelled the match nine minutes before the break when Franklyn Cale put the ball into the roof of the net with a half-volley from six yards out after Khenyeza's shot was blocked.

Both teams went for broke after the interval, with the best early chance falling to George Maluleka, whose shot was tipped over by Steinbors.

Former United striker Norman Smith came back to haunt his old club when he put Arrows 2-1 up with 15 minutes left on the clock, following a mix-up at the back between defender Roscoe Pietersen and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.

The three points appeared to be in the bag for the visitors but they were to suffer heartbreak five minutes from time as defender Mor Diouf grabbed a share of the spoils for Gavin Hunt's side.
