Just a few days after beating Free State Stars 3-2 in extra time to book their place in the Telkom Knockout final, Phunya Sele Sele left it until the dying moments to see off Arrows.

With the 90 minutes up on the clock and only injury time left to play, Thabo Nthethe grabbed all three points for the visitors as he scored after a spill from the goalkeeper.

The win moves Clinton Larsen's men up to seventh in the PSL standings with 16 points while Abafana Bes'thende are on nine points, but outside of the relegation zone only due to their better goal difference.

Arrows, though, will feel that they were hard done by as they dominated most of the game with 15 shots at goal compared to the visitors' five.

Striker Sibusiso Hadebe and defender Musa Bilankulu had a couple of early headed chances, but both their efforts were off target while Thamsanqa Gabuza brought out solid saves from goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb either side of the half-time break.

Celtic also had their chances as Joseph Musonda denied them with a goal-line clearance after Lerato Manzini sprung the off-side trap and beat the home goalkeeper.

Striker Gabuza again tested Tignyemb three minutes before full-time with a right-footed shot from the centre, but the goalkeeper was equal to the task.

Arrows were left to rue the missed chances as defender Nthethe popped up with a scrambled goal when Pavels Steinbors spilled midfielder Lyle Lakay's inswinging corner in injury time.
