Hunt: Needs a plan

SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt still has more questions than answers after seeing his side draw their ninth game in 11 PSL matches this season following a 0-0 stalemate with Maritzburg United.

The result saw Matsatsantsa finish the day in 10th position on the table with 12 points, while Maritzburg are in second, but seven points behind run-away leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Overall, though, Hunt was satisfied with a point from Tuesday's clash at the Harry Gwala Stadium, especially after being reduced to 10 men following Edwin Gyimah's red card, although the coach was left scratching his head on how to turn one point into three.

"We'll come around, but I don't know when," Hunt said. "(Delron) Buckley should have got red carded in the first half - it's worse than what we did and there's nothing to debate.

"Those things haven't been going our way, it's not happening for us. We've had four red cards already this year, so we're battling with those sort of things. Your back's against the wall, we're away from home. Under the circumstances, we did well tonight."

He did, however, concede a draw was probably a fair result, considering either side could have won the match.

"I thought the first half we were better, we really kept the ball well playing away from home," he added. "We battled hard in the second half with 10 men. They had a good chance to win the game late on and then we had a great chance through Jabu (Maluleke) to win it at the end."
