Amakosi got off to a flyer at the FNB Stadium as Reneilwe Letsholonyane fired them in front on seven minutes, but Lerato Chabangu brought the Dube Birds back on level terms just after the half-hour mark.

Letsholonyane grabbed his second goal of the game shortly after as Chiefs retook the lead, only for Bennett Chenene to restore parity on the hour.

But Majoro popped up at the death to steer home a corner as Stuart Baxter's side came away with all three points to open up a five-point lead at the PSL summit.

The hosts couldn't have asked for a better start after they broke the deadlock on seven minutes courtesy of Letsholonyane.

Siphiwe Tshabalala created the goal, charging down the left flank before finding Majoro, who squared for the midfielder to tap home from close range.

Swallows looked to respond with Katlego Mashego testing Itumeleng Khune with a curling free-kick which produced a super diving save from the goalkeeper on 15 minutes.

And they were back in the contest on 33 minutes when Chabangu found the back of the net with a low drive from an unmarked position inside the area.

But it took Chiefs just five minutes to go in front again, with Letsholonyane completing his brace as he fired home after being played in by a fine through-ball from Bernard Parker.

Khune had to be alert to keep out Chenene at the start of the second half after the forward received a pass from Lefa Tsutsulupa and beat two defenders before getting off his shot.

But Chenene wasn't to be denied as he grabbed the equaliser on 60 minutes after running onto a long ball from Giorgi Nergadze to beat Khune.

Tshabalala went close in the closing stages as he was denied the out-stretched leg of visiting keeper Greg Etafia.

But there was little Etafia could do when Majoro turned in a corner from the right deep into stoppage time to break Swallows' hearts.
