The Buccaneers will not be in action this weekend as the Premiership makes way for the Telkom Knockout semi-finals.
Pirates were knocked out in the last-eight after going down on penalties to Bloemfontein Celtic after 120 minutes had finished 3-3.
The Soweto giants are next in action on November 21 at Black Leopards, with De Sa's men currently second in the standings, four points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs with a third of the season already played.
"We have friendly matches lined up this week to keep our players sharp, but more importantly these matches will give us an opportunity to try different combinations," De Sa told his club's official website.
"I think we lack composure, particularly up front, and if we get that right during this break I will be very happy.
"Our defence has not been bad, but we have made some silly errors which cost us some games - but that will also deserve some attention from the technical team."
The mini-break will also give the likes of Siyabonga Sangweni and Oupa Manyisa extra time to regain full fitness, with the pair having been pushed to the limits following three games in six days for the Sea Robbers last week.
