The 21-year-old featured regularly for the Glamour Boys last season but has seen his playing time this term cut drastically short as coach Stuart Baxter favours the likes of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Siyabonga Nkosi and Willard Katsande.

However, the South African, affectionately known as 'Sheriff', is determined to continue working for his place in the side, and will not give up on his dream of becoming a regular starter for the Soweto giants.

"I am disappointed that I have not featured for the team this season. It is normal to feel like this as a player but I am not discouraged at all," he told his club's official website.

"I have always felt that I am in a right place to grow as a player. I continue to work hard at training every day. My chance will come and 'Sheriff' will be back."

He added: "The competition has been tougher this season and the team has been doing well. It is difficult to change a winning team.

"The coach had some encouraging words for me after the Macufe appearance and even (on Tuesday) after training he called me over (and said), 'you will get your chance. That you are not featuring in the team does not mean you are a bad player'. This is encouraging from the coach and it has kept me going."
