Rio Ferdinand claims he is happy to be treated like Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs as he continues negotiations over a new contract.

Ferdinand has been in talks with the club since mid-December over an extension to his current deal, with a suitable agreement yet to be reached between the two parties.
The Red Devils have a strict policy for negotiating contract extensions, with the club preferring to hand one-year extensions to existing deals with players over the age of 30.
Scholes, 38, and Giggs, 39, have long since worked within that system, and Ferdinand has claimed he doesn't want special treatment.
"I don't expect to be treated any different to the other older players like Giggsy or Scholesy, who normally sign on again at the end of the season," the former England defender told Sky Sports.
"I want to be able to contribute properly and to be a player they actually need. You can tell if you're not really needed at a club any more. You just know.
"But we are not in discussions about a new contract at the moment and I'm fine with that because of the understanding I have with the manager."
Ferdinand has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with the Old Trafford outfit, having won five Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League winners medal since joining the club in 2002.
When quizzed on his desire to extend his 10-year stay in Manchester, he replied: "Of course I would want to stay, 100 percent, provided I'm still playing like I am and feeling as good as I am at the moment.
"Manchester United is a great club, the number one, and you would never want to play anywhere else if you can still play for them," he added.
