Palancas Negras have not had the best of tournaments thus far, drawing 0-0 with Morocco before losing 2-0 to South Africa.

But the Real Valladolid striker, currently on loan at Manisaspor in Turkey, says he is "not worried" by his side's slow start to the continental showpiece as he "trusts" his team to come away from the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth with a win.

At a press conference ahead of his side's must-win game, he added: "The team is in good spirits and are quite tranquil. We have been working hard on our mental preparation that will help us give our best.

"I'm not worried at all, I trust my team, I know tomorrow (Sunday) is going to be a very difficult game but I'm really confident we are going to win the game.

"We are neighbours, we are both Portuguese-speaking teams, so it is going to be a special day tomorrow."
