Carlos Tevez says he is trying to help steer Manchester City team-mate Mario Balotelli away from trouble following the striker's recent training ground bust-up with boss Roberto Mancini.

Balotelli has never been too far from controversy in his short time as a professional footballer, and his career with the Citizens was thrown into doubt last week after pictures emerged of the Italian squaring up to his manager.
Tevez was facing a similar situation when he refused to warm up after being left on the bench for a Champions League match against Bayern Munich. But after three months in the wilderness and a subsequent apology, he returned to the side and has since regained his place as an important member of the squad.
Tevez told Sky Sports: "I try to help Mario. I talk to him personally, on and off the pitch.
"I've been in that moment like him.
"I'm always keen to help him and keep him going through these kind of moments, so he doesn't make the same mistakes that I did in the past."
This is not the first training ground bust up that Balotelli has been involved in, with former City defender Jerome Boateng, Aleksander Kolarov, Micah Richards and captain Vincent Kompany all having had disagreements with the fiery forward in the past.
Tevez, though, played down the training ground spat with Mancini and Balotelli, saying that this sort of thing is not new in football.
"There are these kind of things that have happened at all the clubs I've been, but here at City the spotlight is always on us, as it is always on Roberto and Mario,"
"So here it always comes out - but this kind of thing happens everywhere."
