Profile Masilela has been one of Bafana Bafana's stand-out performers over the past 18 months and continues to mature at Maccabi Haifa. Moreover, the 25-year-old was the only South African to feature in the 2009/10 Champions League. An attacking left-back who is always available on the overlap, Masilela has developed a good understanding with Siphiwe Tshabalala down the flank where he revels in the space on the outside. Masilela's talent has not gone unnoticed in European scouting circles and after the Confederations Cup, a slew of media reports linked him with a switch to Tottenham.
