Profile The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper is the country's foremost gloveman and proved as much when he denied the usually predatory Fernando Torres in a one-on-one showdown at the Confederations Cup with a stunning save. Most stoppers in the English Premier League would have applauded Khune's efforts given they usually end up picking the ball out of their net in such circumstances; indeed Pepe Reina, who was between the sticks for Spain in that game, commended the 22-year-old on his display. Khune has excellent distribution, something he would like to harness further and is a great exponent of shot-stopping, especially from the penalty spot. An avid gamer, he told Football365.co.za: "Now my only wish is that I get to play with Bafana in the World Cup final, not on Playstation, but for real in June." |
